Covid-19 Update

Covid-19 Secure – Updated Safety Measures at The Hideaway

Following the announcement on Monday 19th July, we have opted to continue to practice our existing Covid restrictions. We will be asking both guests and staff to continue adhering to the guidelines following below.

Your Hideaway Journey…

Arrival Times

We will endeavour to maintain our original check in time from 3pm, however with additional cleaning requirements, we ask for your understanding on occasions where we are slightly delayed. Please help us by arriving as close as possible to your stated arrival time. 

You are very welcome to arrive prior to 3pm, anytime from 11am, allowing arrivals to be staggered. Even though your room may not be ready, we will complete your carpark check in process, and this will help avoid congestion inside.

Car Park & Check-in

We will send instructions prior to arrival for you to text/call 15 minutes prior to reaching The Hideaway. We will ask that you please remain in/at your car, where we will come to greet you & complete the check in process. There may be a short wait with your car if we experience a flurry of arrivals. If you are arriving by Public Transport, again, please call us 15 minutes prior to reaching The Hideaway and we will give you further instructions.

We reserve the right to check your temperature prior to you being checked in.

Sanitising & Handwashing

There will be a sanitising station next to the Front Door, we encourage that guests use this prior to entering The Hideaway.

A sanitising station will be positioned between the Breakfast Room & Lounge; again, we encourage all guests to use this prior to entering the Breakfast rooms.

There is a sanitising station positioned at the rear of the house which we encourage our guests staying in the courtyard to use.


We will be operating on a smaller team than usual. With this in mind, The Reception Door will be closed after check-out each day. We will be available throughout the day & you will be given a Daytime Reception Mobile Number to contact if we can assist you with anything. For out of hours contact, we will continue to issue our Emergency Mobile Number which is already in place.

In conjunction with the above, we will be removing our Afternoon Tipples service for now.

Complimentary Tea & Cakes

We are continuing to offer our adapted Complimentary service. Fear not, our Delicious Homemade Cake will still be available each day of your stay. We will continue to package individual slices from our Kitchen each morning, making sure you have your Hideaway Treat to enjoy at your leisure. Additional tea & coffee making supplies will be provided for your room.


We have spaced 11 tables across our Breakfast Room and at the front of the Lounge. At check-in we will ask you to select your preferred breakfast time slot. We offer 08.15; 08.30; 08.45, 09.15; 09.30; 09.45.

We will continue to offer a full table service, including all Hot & Cold items being served from The Kitchen. We will not ask for pre-orders, but kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with breakfast menus in your rooms, so that we are able to take your order swiftly when you arrive for breakfast.

Departure, Check-out & Payment

To Check out, all you need to do is drop your keys in the Key Collection Bucket by reception.

We will automatically take payment for any extras using the debit or credit card details we hold on file.

Your final bill can be emailed to you by request.

Plan & Book Ahead for your Stay

Many restaurants, bars, cafes are now full re-opened, and the area is extremely busy. Things may take a little longer than normal; bars & activities, as well as restaurants, may require reservations.

Please take some time to research, plan & book ahead for your visit.
